Uniform & Gear Guide
For younger scouts joining the troop you should buy only the essentials. Bear in mind that your scout is in a fast growing stage and we recommend buying a size with a little growing room. Advanced hiking and camping gear such as backpacks and/or frames are not recommended at this point:
- Class A Uniform
- Tan BSA shirt
- The following items are supplied by Troop 35
- Green epaulets
- Neckerchief (Troop 35 neckerchief is awarded when your child reaches Scout rank)
- Neckerchief slide
- Appropriate rank insignia
- Class B Uniform
- Troop 35 t-shirt – required (available for purchase in spring)
- Troop 35 sweatshirt – optional (available for purchase in spring)
- Sleeping Bag – bags are available in several temperature ranges. Please select one with the appropriate rating for the intended campout. You may need more than one or a multi-range sleeping system.
- Sleeping Pad – optional but recommended
