Forms & Policies
RSVPs & Permission Slips
Planning and arrangements, including reservations, transportation, food, equipment, and adult leadership depend on knowing the number of scouts attending a campout or activity. Therefore, Scoutbook event RSVPs and permission slips need to be submitted by the Tuesday before the scheduled campout or activity.
Medical Forms
Different activity levels require specific medical forms. Scouting America has set minimum standards for submitting medical information before participating in various activities through the Annual Health and Medical Record.
Allergies, Medications, & Dietary Restrictions
It is important to discuss your scout’s medical conditions and needs, including allergies, medications and dietary restrictions, with the Scoutmaster. Detailed information should be noted on all medical forms and permission slips.
Medications: All medication is the responsibility of either the scout taking the medication or that scout’s parent or guardian.
- Review Scouting America’s Medication Use in Scouting
- Complete the Routine Drug Administration Form for campouts
Dietary Restrictions: Consistent with the Scouting Patrol Method, scouts plan, cook, eat and clean up as a patrol. If your scout has medical dietary restrictions, we will work to make meal plans accommodating for them.
Transportation
Transporting scouts to campouts and activities with all the equipment and supplies can require multiple vehicles and the troop trailer. The Troop Committee encourages parents to help throughout the year with driving.

Inappropriate Items for Outdoor Activities
The Scout Handbook lists items needed for hiking and camping. Adult leaders will discuss appropriate equipment with the scouts before activities. Scouts are discouraged from bringing any other items. In particular, items that are unsafe, such as sheath knives, and personal axes; items that impact health and safety, such as personal food, candy, pop, etc. and items that distract from the outdoor program, such as electronic games, radios, and cell phones are not allowed. If a scout brings inappropriate items, the adult leader in charge will safeguard them until the end of the activity.
