Jack Mathis Achieves Eagle

Troop 35 is proud to announce that Jack Mathis is our newest Eagle Scout. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement! Jack shares his words of wisdom:

Troop 35 is a place to have fun and grow and learn to be yourself. For me, it was a place to make new friends and have adventures that would not be possible anywhere else. I never could have imagined how far it would take me, and I am a different person than I was when I entered the troop.

The rank of Eagle Scout is a culmination of many years of hard work and dedication, but also a lot of fun. Being an Eagle Scout will stay with me for the rest of my life and remind me to follow the tenets of the Scout Oath and Law.

My advice would be to take advantage of all Scouting has to offer, including campouts, high adventure trips, and yes, even ranks and merit badges. They teach you valuable skills and give you tools that will help you far into life. Eagle Scout is not something that happens in a month, or even a year. Only by staying active in Scouting and participating can you hope to earn this rank, and maybe even have some fun along the way.
