The Troop has an annual Christmas wreath sale as its only fund raiser. By selling wreathes, a Scout has the opportunity to earn his annual dues and more! In August, September and early October, Scouts sell Christmas wreaths to friends and family. The Scout earns a commission for each sale. The commission is banked by the troop in a ’Scout Bucks’ account. Scouts can draw from the account for scouting related expenses such as dues, camping trips, summer camp, jamboree and the ultimate scouting adventure -Philmont and other high adventure activities!
Pre-order wreath sales have ended for the 2012 year, but we will be selling retail at Dominick’s in Danada Square parking lot beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving on November 23rd, 24th, and 25th. We will be back the following weekend on December 1st and 2nd. We will also have retail locations at Gary United Methodist Church on Main Street Thanksgiving weekend and downtown Wheaton at the fountain on Front Street before and after the Christmas Parade Friday night.
